Welcome to WorleyParsonsTWP
Established by Nigel Townshend in 1982, TWP was recognised as one of South Africa’s leading resource and infrastructure focused engineering project houses, providing a full range of engineering, architectural, finance and project management solutions.
In March 2013, TWP was acquired by global engineering and project management company WorleyParsons, one of the world’s leading EPCM providers in resources and energy, and was renamed WorleyParsonsTWP, giving rise to one of the largest EPCM companies in Africa.
Based in Johannesburg, WorleyParsonsTWP offers world-class specialised underground mine planning and engineering capabilities, mineral processing and project management solutions. Together with parent company WorleyParsons, the delivery has been extended into all fields of processing, resources and energy.
The acquisition forms part of WorleyParsons’ strategy to create global centres of excellence for precious metals processing and underground mine development. Combining TWP’s minerals processing and infrastructure capability with WorleyParsons resource infrastructure strengths, the Johannesburg hub will become a minerals, metals and chemicals project delivery centre in sub-Saharan Africa to further enhance WorleyParsons’ pit-to-port offering in the SSA market.
Through the existing WorleyParsonsTWP and WorleyParsons office network throughout the country, WorleyParsonsTWP is represented in all the major towns in South Africa, in addition to having access to WorleyParsons’ global resources. Globally, WorleyParsons employs 41 000 staff operating in 41 countries and over the past five years, the company has executed more than 100 projects in over 15 countries.
